Ok, so did everyone watched terminator salvation? if not, to watched or not to watched its up to you. in my opinion, you need to watched it at some point in your life, either dvd, or at the movies or whatever that’s not my concern. IMO its a good movie, decent storyline and nice SFX and lots of fighting. but is that what i want to talk about? like hell, im not to review a movie.
first thing first (not really first, just something that really poop in my head and its up to you how to read this), have you watched the whole series of the terminator? i mean, the original terminator, judgement day and the crappy “rise of the machine” all in all its a nice series, the first terminator (1984) with kyle reese as the main character are actually john connors father and yeah of course you know that, and the fact that after the first 1984 terminator came up soo good, they decide to make a sequel which came out waaay more awesome imo. this series explained that even cyberdyne’s effort to kill sarah connor end in ugly way, it actually opened a way to the second season, that someone found the remains of the termintor from 1984 and creates the cyberdyne, so there’s no stopping cyberdyne at this moment. so t-1000 is sent to kill john connor whose already born and become a cool brat (according to my sister), befriend arnold (t-800) which both ended in a hot cooking pot. is that the end? apparently no,
in the beginning of rise of the machine, i was a bit skeptical and annoyed to the fact that t-x is a hwat girl, not that i have anything to do with girls, i love them and i love this, but as a fan i was a bit annoyed and decided to watched it in dvd with my friends instead at the cinema. cool, i think t-x can shoot laser, transforming into things which looks rather dangerous (not as cool as t-1000 imo), but arent suppose that judgement day averted? i mean there goes t-800 and t-1000 and all the research materials? but then one thing lead to another, skynet is being activated taking control of the military network and t-x killed afterwards, but before i said to my self “thats a waste of time and money”, apparently it opens a window into this thick skull of my head that now its all makes sense: because the skynet cannot be stopped because its actually a program not a hardware which can be destroyed, the only option to save mankind from the machine is to let john connor live in the bunker and watching the execution of judgement day.
so all this 3 series are actually in cycle; past, present, and future. the main factor are:
- kyle reese came from the future to impregnate sarah connor and gave birth to john connor, t-800 came to kill sarah.
- sarah connor and john connor (young) met a brainwashed t-800 sent by john connor from the future fighting t-1000 and destroying all the likely material to create skynet, thus judgement day are suppose to be averted.
- sarah dies and john connor (teenage) still didnt believe that judgement day is averted, and its true. sarah and kate are suppose to be married in the future. arnold now version t-850 and been brainwashed by kate after it manage to kill john in 2032.
- t-x is killed, skynet takes over the military network, judgement day commences, the resistance contacted john connor and the fight beguns.
- this is terminator salvation part, john now already grown up, and met with young kyle reese. a cameo of arnold as t-800 also shown in the last fight. no time machine are mentioned at this point.
now i want to give a piece of my mind about terminator salvation… why in the world they’re harvesting human? i understand that they’re making human as a research, but… doesnt that sound like the matrix for some reason? arent suppose to be that the purpose of terminator is to kill and destroy all human kind, not to collecting them for research any reason? i tried to make things more sensible by thinking that they’re collecting human to make new kind of terminator like marcus, but its all goes down the drain when skynet tells that marcus is indeed special and one-of-a-kind only. even though it doesnt close any opportunity that they’ll make these humans as a research material for newer version of terminator such as arnold’s t-850, like the missing t-900 in the process?)
but if this fourth installment of the terminator series sounds more make sense if connected with the matrix indeed:
- human is harvested
- machines found out that human can be like a battery (matrix)
- started harvesting humans for power
- the matrix is created

…strange isnt it? but maybe its just me, meh…
