lol trip : geelong
this morning i just arrived from geelong, a friend of mine went to music gig somewhere in geelong (australia). yesterday afternoon we depart from melbourne to the said place around 4pm by bus from southern cross station.
the trip only took about 1hr and i was asleep half way there so i didnt know what to be seen, put on my earphone and sleep (i got motion sickness).
after we arrive there we went to get something to eat (nice fish and chips) and looking for a place to stay around the beach. the actual plan is to camp somewhere on the street, beach or wherever, open a bottle and drink after the gig until morning and we’ll go back by the first train in the morning.
but its all messed up ROFLMAO, its fu*kn cold, its drizzling all the time and we accidentally locked everything we had inside a train station locker! including our food, sleeping bag and one of our friends jacket! we played cards in a place that people used to rest (forgot what its called) around the beach area, drink a bottle, eat some chips and accompanied by song from a mobile phone, its all not so bad actually… minus the da*n cold. i hate cold, i really HATE cold!!
we’ve been touring the whole geelong cbd (which is only a few block wide), in only about few hour BY FOOT!! because we cant find any warm enough place or any vacant accommodation with reasonable pricing! now we almost know exactly what homeless people felt… LMAO
oh, we saw a ridiculous commercial in geelong somewhere…
this commercial is so stupid! wth is the designer think when they made this!? its like geelong didnt have any fashion sense before they come!!? i dont know what geelog people thought about this commercial, but i find it offensive and ridiculous…
and then we went to the pubs and its good enough for an hour or two, but its closing at 2pm and we’re cold ‘n homeless again… there’s 24 hour kfc and mc’d yes… but we cant sit in there… not because its full (yes its full of people buying it) but because we’re not allowed to sit inside, its crazy but i get their point.
at last resort we went to strip club… the only place that is warm and open until 5am in the morning… we manage to see 3 stripper (and a lot of drunkards) only 2 of them are actually good, the last one is a . . . er, lets just say she’s not good looking… but at least after that we get to watch some good music video’s nrvana, oasis, etc. the best thing is we get to sit down and its WARM.
after that we spent like 2-3 hr in the cold of train station… good thing it got a vending machine… warm coffee and a water drinking fountain… we’re not going to dehydrated to the death.
the door to the station opened at 6.45 and first train is 6.54, we get on the train and… sleep. my friend woke me up when we arrived back in southern cross station and my sole is killing me, i didnt use my usual running shoe so its hurting and cold.
we we’re agreed to attend the independence ceremony after we got back, but we’re too tired and too sleepy and cold. so they hit the sack right away and i went on journey back home… i slept for the next 1.5 hr journey back and sleep without changing my clothes doing anything else… i just woke up few hr back, and decide to wrote something to memorize this eventful and rare journey.
